The church of Christ the King

The church was built in 1938 and features the largest mosaic in the Nordic countries. The mosaic was gifted to the parish by the Pope Pius XII and it was finished in 1951. It’s surrounded by beautiful frescoes painted by professor Gebhard Utinger.

The mosaic and the frescoes were recently renovated, and we are currently fundraising for the restoration of the choir of Angels on the arches surrounding the sanctuary. We are deeply grateful for your donations for this project.
